Where can you compost in Illinois?
There are many great composting options in Illinois. Here’s a list by municipality:
Chicago
Chicago has several residential compostables collection services.
WasteNot Compost - Biweekly collection starting at $12/week; weekly collection starting at $10/week.
Block Bins - They have compostables collection points spread throughout neighbors in Chicago. You can join an existing one or request to start one in your area.
Collective Resource Compost - In addition to Chicago, they also offer residential compostables collection in Evanston, Morton Grove, Park Ridge, and Skokie. Weekly pickup costs $10.50/collection, biweekly is $15.50/collection and every four weeks is $20.50/collection.
